I recently dismanteled my 55
gallon
and upgraded to a 100 gallon (48" x 28 x 18)
This tank start out as a FOWLR, but quickly became
a reef tank.
At the moment I am using the following equipment:
30 Gal. Sump/Refugium (100% natural filtration)
220 Watts VHO Lighting (8 hours per day)
800 Watts Metal Halide 10,000K
80 lbs. Araganite
130 lbs. Live rock
Current inhabitants:
(1) Damsel
(1) Percula Clown
(Several) Hermit Crabs
(Several) Turbo snails
(1) Brittle Star
(1) Maroon Clown
(1) Yellow Tang
(1) Red Star Fish
(1) Fire Fish
(1) Blue Crocea Clam
Being new to marine tanks with live
rock, we are really enjoying watching all the of marine life
that came attatched to the live rock, ie,
snail, baby starfish, etc. not to mention all the plant
life. Maybe someday we will add some
inverts or something else to add some color and
life.
3/30/02 Tank has been up and running
for about 1 month now. So far
so good ;)
4/28/02 Just finished moving
everything from old tank to new one. Everyone
seems to be adjusting just fine. VHO lighting really makes a huge
differnce.
